ANAGRAM Gallery is pleased to announce an OPEN CALL for “Modern Magick”, an online exhibition. All media are considered, except for video. Submissions are FREE. Exhibition dates: October 15th, 2022 - November 30th, 2022.

Visual artists are encouraged to submit work relating to the theme of Magick as experienced and translated through a contemporary lens. Various approaches to process, imagery (abstraction and representation) and conceptual perspectives of this theme will be considered. ANAGRAM is interested in seeing interpretations of -and not limited to- traditional Magickal narratives, characters, rituals, “techno-paganism”, modern spirituality themes, as well as feminist occult imagery.

Conditions: All artworks must be for sale and available as original artworks only; no reproductions nor digital-only files allowed in this exhibition. A 30% commission fee will be applied to any sold work in this exhibition. Artists are responsible for shipping their own work to collectors. All communications from collectors will be made through the ANAGRAM Gallery director. ANAGRAM Gallery reserves the right to disseminate and promote the accepted artists’ work on www.anagramgallery.com and its affiliated social media sites during the duration of the exhibition. ANAGRAM Gallery does NOT insure artwork lost or damaged during shipping to collectors. I will NOT consider anything concerning Harry Potter nor offensive, pornographic material.

Submission guidelines:

  • 3 images in jpg form, no larger than 3 MB, 1500 pixels on the longest side, at 72 DPI. Include sale price (30% commission will be added for exhibition)

  • Artist statement explaining how your work submitted fits this theme in PDF format.

  • Link to your artist website
